Police thoroughly searched the schools and nothing was found. Still, the department is taking the threats very seriously and continues to investigate.

The department hopes that by releasing the audio, someone may recognize the voice.

UPDATE 11/12/15 8:45 PM: King City schools will be back open Friday after another bomb threat forced the district to cancel classes for the second time this month.

The King City Police Department is investigating the two bomb threats it believes were made by the same man.

“We’re pretty sure this is the same person. It appears the phone relates back to the same phone. I cannot wait to put this person in jail,” said King City Police Chief Tony Solicito.

According to police, the same man who made a threat last week made three consecutive 911 calls Wednesday night.

“They basically said that a bomb was going to go off at Chalone Peaks Middle School,” said Chief Solicito.

Officials with the South Monterey County Joint Union High School District tell News Channel 5 administrators thought it was safe enough to hold classes Thursday at the high school, but some parents were still reluctant to send their kids.

Theresa Rouse, Superintendent of the King City Union School District told News Channel 5 there will be additional security at the campuses Friday.

Police officers will be at pick-up and drop-off locations on Friday.
