Deputies: Salinas victim stabbed by co-worker

Monterey County Deputies are on the lookout for a suspect accused of stabbing his coworker, Friday night.

Deputies said they responded to the report around 8:30 p.m., and on arrival they found a victim with several stab wounds.

Investigators said the victim was having dinner at his home on the 700 block of San Juan Grade Road with his coworker, Eduardo Cardenas, when the incident happened.

According to investigators, after the stabbing, Cardenas took off in the victim’s 2006 Toyota pick-up truck with this license plate: 8S60419.

The victim was taken to the Natividad Medical Center, but his condition is unknown.

Deputies said the motive behind the stabbing is still under investigation.
