Murder suspect who fled after double homicide in Watsonville pleads not guilty

The man most recently arrested in the killing of 4-year-old Jaelyn Zavala and Ramon Rendon faced a Santa Cruz County judge Tuesday morning.

Marcos Robles entered a not guilty plea.

Robles was extradited from Guadalajara, Mexico, in early October for his role in the shooting near a Watsonville restaurant last year. He and 7 others are accused in the double murder.

Robles will be back in court on December 8.
