What you need to know for November 3 elections in Monterey County
Monterey County voters will head to the polls Tuesday to weigh in on several local races.
This November, it’s all about education.
Voters will be able to weigh in on the area 4 trustee spot for the Monterey Board of Education. They will also be able to weigh in on the Hartnell Community College district races for areas 1, 2 and 4. Of course, these are just a few of the school races.
The only race not related to education — the director seat on the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District Board. Two candidates are vying for that position.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and will stay open until 8 p.m. The first reporting of results will happen just after 8 p.m., followed by an update at 10 p.m.
Keep in mind these are just preliminary results.
To see the results, head to the Monterey County Elections website. There you can also find a list of Tuesday’s polling places. If you’re unsure of where to vote, you can always head to the Monterey County Elections headquarters in Salinas where all ballots are available.
