Deputies: Prunedale man arrested for meth lab again
A Prunedale man is facing several charges after Monterey County deputies say they found a meth lab inside his home for the second time in months.
Deputies got an anonymous tip about Matthew Atchison manufacturing drugs at his Prundale house on Frisch Road. When deputies showed up Friday, they arrested him
The first time Atchison was arrested for producing meth at the same house on Frisch was in early May.
According to deputies they responded to a fight in that neighborhood. There, found 31-year-old Atchison who they believed was on meth. A family member later told News Channel 5 Atchison only made meth but didn’t use it.
Once deputies, along with the bomb squad, DEA agents and a hazardous material crew, searched his home they found chemicals and equipment necessary to make meth.
Atchison was arrested, booked and released 41 days later, deputies said. According to records, Atchison has a history of criminal activity including burglary, stealing a car, being drunk in public and possession of drug paraphernalia.
