UPDATE: Cienega Fire south of Hollister now 60 percent contained
UPDATE 10/15/15 7:00 PM: The Cienega Fire is now 100% contained.
UPDATE 10/15/15 9:20 AM: Due to the progress in the Cienega Fire, now 300 firefighters are on scene.
The fire has been held at 600 acres, and is still 60% contained.

The fire burning south of Hollister stands at 600 acres.
More than 500 firefighters are battling the fire.

UPDATE 10/13/14 2:15 PM: The Cienega Fire is growing, now at 600 acres. According to Cal Fire, it is now 10% contained.
There are 12 fire crews are on scene with 36 fire engines and 5 helicopters.
Cal Fire Chief of Public Information Daniel Berlant tweeted that fire danger is still high. He also tweeted that 125 new wildfires sparked last week.
More than 400 firefighters are also helping the fire fight.
UPDATE: Cienega Fire south of Hollister grows to 600 acresUPDATE 10/13/15 8:54 AM: Tuesday morning, Cal Fire said the Cienega Fire has grown to 300 acres now and is still zero percent contained.
Firefighters continue to battle the blaze with more than 250 crews, 26 engines, two helicopters, four dozers and two water tenders.
The fire started around 4:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.
UPDATE 10/13/15 7:00 AM: According to Cal Fire, 240 fire fighters, 15 engines, eight crews, four dozers two helicopters and four air tankers are helping battle the fire Tuesday morning.
UPDATE 10/12/15 9:00 PM: The Cienega fire has grown to 200 acres.
According to Cal Fire, 125 firefighters, eight engines, two bulldozers, two helicopters, two air tankers and two water tenders are helping in the battle against the fire.
The fire is 0% contained.
The cause is under investigation.
PREVIOUS STORY: Cal Fire crews said they are currently fighting a wildfire near Cienega Rd. and Limekiln south of Hollister.
Crews said the flames have spread to 75 acres.
Three aircraft, Cal Fire crews and San Benito North County Fire crews are helping in the fire fight.
According to Cal Fire, steep terrain is making the fight difficult, but crews are hoping cooler temperatures overnight will help.
