Homicide suspect arrested after standoff with Salinas Police
UPDATE 10/10/2015: Homicide and attempted robbery suspect Brad Azcona is currently in custody after a long standoff Thursday evening, according to police.
Through surveillance on a home in the 600 block of Seneca Pl., officers said they were able to surround the home and eventually arrest Azcona.
Detectives said the Monterey County SWAT and a helicopter from the California Highway Patrol locked the neighborhood down, as hostage negotiators spent several hours trying to get Azcona to surrender.
They said SWAT eventually entered the home, where Azcona was found hiding in a crawl space.
Azcona was wanted in the killing of Ramon Herrera, 44 in Chinatown on September 23 and was named as a person of interest in the killing of a Carlos Robles, 16, earlier in September.
UPDATE: 10/09/2015: Wanted murder and robbery suspect, Brad Azcona, is now in custody. Residents in the area will be let back into their homes soon.

Azcona is wanted for a robbery and murder in Chinatown last month. Police have been on scene at Cherokee Ct. and Seneca Pl. for about two and half hours.
They’re attempting to contact him and get him to surrender. Nearby residents have been either evacuated or told to stay inside.
