Suspect sought in Salinas homicide possibly in Eureka

As the search for a suspect wanted in a deadly shooting in Salinas continues, News Channel 5 is learning Brad “Nicholas” Azcona, 23, may be in Eureka.

The Eureka Police Department was contacted by Salinas police detectives Tuesday advising Azcona was possibly in the city.

Police said Azcona reportedly spent Monday night behind the Bayshore Mall.

Azcona is a suspect in the killing of Ramon Herrera, 44, on September 23. He is also a person of interest in the shooting death of Carlos Robles, 16, Salinas police said.

Azcona is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
