Salinas crews battle house fire Tuesday afternoon

UPDATE 9/29/15 4:44 p.m.: Salinas firefighters stopped a garage fire that damaged two homes on St. Regis Way Tuesday afternoon. Fire crews said the fire started at one home and spread to the upstairs. It damaged the roof of the home next door, before crews could contain it.

Crews said there were two people inside the home where the fire started, but they were able to get out with minor injuries.

Crews don’t know what sparked the fire.
