Missing Watsonville girl found safe and returned to family

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said tips from the public through social media helped them safely locate a missing teen from Watsonville on Monday.

Deputies said Carina Angulo, 14, was located and reunited with her family after she was last seen September 18 in downtown Santa Cruz.

The Sheriff’s Office said Angulo has a history of running away and did not have a cell phone with her.
