UPDATE: Child found after search for stolen car with toddler inside
UPDATE 8:37 a.m. 9/24/2015: The 3-year-old was found at an apartment complex on Heather Circle in Salinas, according to police.
Officials said a resident from the complex came out, saw the stolen van with the child in it and called it in.
There is no suspect in custody yet, but police are still on scene.
Officials said Jacky Valenzuela has been safely reunited with her mother. A reporter is on scene. Stay with KION NewsChannel Five for continuing coverage.

UPDATE 7:29 a.m. 9/24/2015: An Amber Alert has been activated for 3-year-oldJacky Valenzuela. She is 2 ft. 6 in., wearing a brown shirt with a Christmas design over a red long sleeve shirt. She is wearing red pants and no shoes. The suspect is unknown.
Other law enforcement agencies on the Central Coast have activated rope and are on patrol in areas with incoming traffic from the Salinas area.

Police in Salinas are actively searching for a stolen vehicle with a toddler inside Thursday morning.
It happened just before 6:00 a.m., when a 2002 gold Honda Odyssey that was running with a toddler inside was stolen in the 600 block of Countryside Dr.
Jacky Valenzuela, the three year old inside, is described as a girl with long black hair, wearing a dark blue shirt with a Christmas design. She is 46 lbs.
The van police are searching for has a license plate number of 5NEM296 with a broken tail light on the left side.
