Carmel Valley man arrested for assaulting firefighter, deputies say
A man is behind bars Tuesday, after allegedly attacking a firefighter working on the Tassajara Fire.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said it happened just after 6:00 p.m. Monday on Tassajara Road.
Deputies said resident Jack West pushed and tried to punch the firefighter after he was asked the suspect to leave due to safety concerns.
West was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
