Stray bullet enters children’s martial arts class in Watsonville
Police are investigating a close call, after a stray bullet shot into a children’s martial arts class in Watsonville Monday night.
Police said it happened Monday night at the corner of Alma and Nevada Streets when an unknown male suspect fired shots inside a moving car.
Officials then say a stray bullet went into a martial arts studio during a class with about 20 children inside. No one was hurt by the stray bullet.
Police said the bullet flew through an open door at Watsonville Tae Kwon Do, pierced a stand up punching bag and was found lodged in a wall.
The suspect ran to a getaway car on California Street. Police were not able to locate the victim or do not know the victim’s condition.
