Abandoned house at former Ft. Ord catches on fire in Marina

Firefighters battled an abandoned house fire that started around 11:49 a.m. Tuesday on Young St. in Marina.

Crews said an abandoned 4-plex house in the old Cypress Knolls at the former Fort Ord caught on fire. They are not sure how it started and no one hurt.

Fire crews from Marina, Seaside and Presidio of Monterey were called out to the scene.

North Monterey County Fire covered the city of Marina while local crews were dealing with the fire.
