Water floods N. Main St. in Salinas, shutting down traffic
Crews are working on a water main break under the road on Main St. between Cassentini and Rossi in Salinas, according to California Water Services.
Water went up through the manholes and flooded parts of the roadway, crews said. Southbound traffic on Main St. is shut down completely, causing a backup. Crews are detouring traffic onto Cassentini.
Crews said the water is shut down and clean up is underway.
California Water Supply does not have an estimate of how many gallons were lost or when the roadway will re-open.
