Temporary ban on cultivation of pot and sale of edibles in Salinas

Salinas is putting a temporary ban on the cultivation of marijuana and the sale of edibles.

On Monday, the City Council passed a temporary “interim urgency ordinance.” City staff members said Salinas has gotten a lot of questions about opening and operating cultivation companies.

City leaders now have 45 days to determine the appropriate regulations.
