Position: Anchor/Producer
KMUV TV will have an opening for a 6pm and 11pm Anchor on our Telemundo affiliate in Monterey, California. Telemundo, KMUV TV is in a competitive, visible market on the beautiful Central Coast of California. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced journalist seeking to refine their skills as an anchor.
The ideal candidate will have strong live presentation skills and experience producing newscasts. We’re looking for an anchor who can connect with viewers during live newscasts and report the news clearly and comfortably in Spanish. Our ideal candidate can also: write clear and conversational news copy, as well as promo and tease material in Spanish; factually rewrite copy in Spanish and conduct interviews in Spanish. We’re looking for a team player who can meet all deadlines and work schedules. Experience video editing, flexible schedule and public appearances required.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent is required. Spanish is a must. Four years of television broadcasting experience is preferred. Candidate must pass a drug test and background check. A valid driver’s license is required.
