Wanted felon arrested in Morgan Hill after hours-long standoff
A wanted felon is behind bars Wednesday morning, after police put an area of Morgan Hill on lock down to find him.
Police say 24-year-old Alferdo Aldape was arrested late Tuesday night, after police say he went to a friends house in the 100 block of Manor Court to hide.
The SWAT team was called to the scene around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday to assist and police evacuated residents in the area for safety reasons.
Del Monte Avenue from Ciolino to Spring was closed for a period of time.
Aldape was eventually taken into custody without incident and booked into the Santa Clara County jail on several felony warrants some time before 1:00a.m.
