Unsafe levels of E. Coli at Cowell Beach
The Santa Cruz County Health Department issued a health warning Saturday at Cowell Beach.
The Health Department found unsafe levels of E-Coli during their latest water quality tests.
The affected areas extend from west of the Santa Cruz Wharf to the east end of the Dream Inn.
Warning signs are posted about the bacteria levels but health officials said all other Santa Cruz County beaches met the standards and are safe to swim is those waters.
