Salinas youth soccer team advances to national finals in Oklahoma

A Salinas soccer team playing for the win at the National Youth Soccer Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma is advancing ahead to the final round.

The El Camino Real Galaxy, with players 13 years and under, played their first game Tuesday. On Saturday, they will play a team from Baltimore.

Chaperones said the team has done really well and continues to earn points to advance to finals.

They said the Galaxy have four of the Top 10 Scorers of the whole tournament for their bracket including Jerry Ayon, Jose Amezcua, Jose Garcia and Abraham Montano.
