Serious crash in Santa Cruz Mountains sends several to the hospital

California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury crash on E. Zayante Rd. Wednesday morning, sending several people to the hospital.

The crash was reported just before 8:00 a.m. Several ambulances airlifted patients to the hospital.

Traffic was closed off to the area for about three hours but has since been re-opened.
