UPDATE: One taken to hospital after car hits pole in Watsonville

UPDATE 1:07 p.m.: One person was taken to a hospital after an early morning vehicle accident in Watsonville Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A person driving on Highway 152 just east of Carlton Road hit a telephone pole, CHP said.

No word on the extent of injuries.

Highway 152 just east of Carlton Road in Watsonville is closed in both directions Saturday morning due to a vehicle accident.

Just after 10 a.m., a vehicle hit a telephone pole, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic incident page.

CHP estimates the Highway to reopen in about an hour.
