Emergency response to Highway 101 overpass, lanes open

UPDATE: All lanes have been reopened on Highway 101, according to CHP.

PREVIOUS STORY: Traffic is backed up on Highway 101 in Salinas at Sanborn Rd. because of a suicidal person, according to California Highway Patrol.

One lane is open northbound heading toward the Sanborn exit. All lanes are open southbound.

Emergency crews are on scene trying to help the person down safely.
