Big Week is here with the 105th California Rodeo Salinas back in town. Rodeo officials say you better hurry if you want to get tickets to one of the most exciting events.
On Wednesday night, thousands of fans are expected to pack the grand stands. All of them will watch the Professional Bull Riding. Folks at the Rodeo want people to hurry and buy tickets now. They say sales are tracking faster than last year, and they’re expecting this event to sell out quickly.
It’s no surprise why this event is so popular. 15 of the top 35 bull riders in the world will be competing.
“So that’s pretty impressive for our tour level which is the Blue DEF Velocity Tour versus the Build Ford Tough Series that you might see on TV,” said Mandy Linquist, marketing manager for the California Rodeo Salinas. “But you’re going to see a lot of the same guys riding here in Salinas.”
Tickets start at $10 for children. Because it’s going to be packed on Wednesday night, fans will want to get there early. Gates open at 5 p.m., the show starts at 7 p.m. and it’ll wrap up with a fireworks show afterwards.
