Salinas deadly bike crash victim remembered a year later
It’s been a year since Adrian Garcia was killed while riding his bike in Salinas. On Sunday, several of his friends and family met up on their bikes at Northridge Mall for a memorial ride. More than 50 people were there and this was their message.
“We want to turn this sadness into positive-ness and get people together to spread awareness for bike safety because it seems like there is none here. And also to spread a message for justice for the person who is responsible to come forward because we haven’t forgotten,” Garcia’s girlfriend Eliana Coronel said.
Coronel was with him the nigh he was struck by a car. No new information is available on the suspect. Friends also plan on painting a mural in his honor on Natividad Road.
