Man found guilty for starting fire at a Santa Cruz county building
A man was convicted for breaking into a Santa Cruz county building and starting a fire back in 2014.
The Santa Cruz county District Attorney’s office said Michael Michel was found guilty of felony arson and felony vandalism.
In December of last year Michel kicked in one of the doors to the county building and entered. He stayed in the building for many hours and started to burn paperwork in an office on the 5th floor. That’s when Michel called 911 to report the fire.
