Man shot while barbecuing on Harding Street, police said

A man was taken to a local hospital Saturday night after being shot multiple times on the 1000 block of Harding Street, police said.

It happened around 9:55 p.m. while the victim was with neighbors barbecuing in the driveway, police said. That’s when two suspects got out of their car, walked towards his home and shot him repeatedly.

At last check, police said the victim was in serious condition.

Officers said after the shooting, the suspects ran back to a light-colored Honda Civic where a third suspect was waiting for them. They were last seen heading southbound on Harding Street.

Police are investigating it as possibly gang-related because of the victim’s involvement with previous gang contacts.
