Man vomits after robbing 21-year-old in Salinas, police say

Late Monday night a 21-year-old man was robbed in his car on the 20 block of California St., according to Salinas police.

Police said the victim was talking with a friend when a man approached claiming to have a gun and demanded the victim’s money.

The suspect sat down in the passenger’s seat and grabbed the victim’s wallet after he stated he only had $20, police said. As the suspect exited the car, police said he vomited and then walked southbound on California St. towards Market Way.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, six feet tall, 240 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
