Salinas nurses vote on new labor contract

Salinas Valley Memorial nurses have ratified a new labor contract with the hospital.

According to a representative from the nurses’ union, the nurses approved the deal by an overwhelming margin.

This comes after The California Nurses Association and Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System reached an agreement on a tentative deal last week.

The hospital board will now have to ratify the agreement at its meeting Thursday morning.
