PREVIOUS STORY: Two buildings have been evacuated at the Presidio of Monterey because of a gas leak, according to public affairs officials. The Presidio said 622 and 627 Rifle Range Road are the two buildings that were evacuated.

Monterey Fire said the leak was reported around 1:45 p.m. and crews were on scene in about two minutes.

Firefighters have set up a perimeter and called for “shelter in place” for everyone in both buildings.
