UPDATE: Four teens charged in Watsonville armed robbery
UPDATE 4/10/2015: Four teens between the ages of 14 and 17 face several charges after allegedly robbing a person outside an elementary school in Watsonville Friday, according to police.
Police said the teens held up the victim at knife-point, and stole an iPod and a bike. One of the teens dropped the iPod as the ran away.
The victim later spotted the suspects and confronted them, but one of the teens threatened to shoot the victim, according to police.
The incident put Green Valley Christian School on lock down.
UPDATE 4/10/2015: Watsonville police said armed robbery suspects were detained near Carey Avenue and Landis Avenue Friday evening.
Officers said earlier on Friday, there was a report of an armed robbery where the victim had his bike stolen at knife point.
Later Friday evening, police said the victim saw the suspects and called police. The victim said the suspects brandished a shotgun.
UPDATE 4/10/15: Watsonville police said three suspects have been detained and officers are still searching for an armed robbery suspect near Carey Avenue and Landis Avenue. Officers said no injuries have been reported.
Police are asking residents to avoid the area.
Green Valley Christian School has been placed on lockdown as a precaution, as officers continue their search in the slough area behind the school.
