time now is ### the central coast is getting some national recognition for it’s efforts to conserve. cbs evening news highlighted santa cruz where those who use too much water are sent to a school to learn better habits. they also showcased how much the city has reduced their water usage. time is xx after the hour. let’s get to your weather! friday: a mostly clear and cold start with patchy fog possible. sunny and seasonable, breezy along the coast in the afternoon. coastal highs in the upper 50s to 60s with mid 60s to mid 70s inland.tonight: mostly clear and calm. cool with coastal lows in the upper 30s to low 50s with inland lows in the low 30s to low 40s. some patchy frost possible in sheltered locations.saturday: a little cooler as onshore flow strengthens. mostly sunny early with increasing high clouds through the day. extended: a little breezy with a few clouds on saturday with a weak storm system coming in on sunday. it could bring a few light showers to coastal areas into early monday. another system on its heels will impact our area late monday into tuesday and brings a better chance of a more widespread rain. temperatures will be a little on the cool side this weekend. thank you, ryan.
