Monterey police looking for armed robbery suspects

Monterey police said two armed men allegedly robbed a male and female in the 700 block of Spencer Street Tuesday around 10:30 p.m.

Police said one robber had a handgun and the other had a knife.

After taking one victim’s wallet, the robbers were reportedly seen running toward David Avenue.

Police said the male armed with a revolver was possibly Asian, with a thin build, in his early 20s, in a dark hooded sweatshirt and a dark bandana covering his face.

They said the second robber armed with a knife was possibly African-American, in his early 20s, with a medium build and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Officers said no one was hurt during the incident.
