Snedeker wins Pebble Beach, breaks own record

Champion Brandt Snedeker broke his own scoring record as the 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am wrapped up on Sunday. The fog started to roll in on the 18th hole, but not before Snedeker took home the win.

Snedeker broke his own course record by two shots, finishing the tournament at 22 under. It was his second win in three years at the Pro-Am.

“I had a feeling and it was really special and to do it the way I did, it’s going to be probably one of the biggest wins of my career,” Snedeker said.

To top off the tournament, Snedeker had only one bogey the whole week. Clint Eastwood stood beside the champ as he accepted his trophy. According to ESPN, the victory moved him into the 31st spot in the world, allowing him to enter all World Golf Championship events.

Second-place winner Nick Watney stood his ground with par 5 on the fourth. It landed on the green but trickled into the rough. Watney bogeyed that hole. Charlie Beljan ended up in third place and climbed up seven spots from Saturday. Dustin Johnson, Justin Day and Pat Perez tied for fourth place.

During Sunday’s final events, a caddy had a scary moment that sent him to the hospital. A Pebble Beach employee told NewsChannel 5 that a caddie went to retrieve a ball at the 18th hole and slipped on some moss. They said he suffered a broken arm.
