Man accused of abducting Kern County teen arrested in Seaside

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office along with the Seaside Police Department assisted the Kern County Sheriff’s Office in finding a suspect wanted in the abduction of a teenage girl from Kern County.

Aaron Weirich, 28, is accused of abducting a teenage girl in Bakersfield earlier this week, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office said Seaside police officers found Weirich and the victim at a home in Seaside on Freemont Street Friday morning.

Seaside officers turned Weirich and the victim over to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office

Weirich was booked in the Monterey County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
