Salinas Police investigating 8th shooting of the year
Salinas Police are investigating a shooting on East Laurel Drive.
The shooting happened at 6:19 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
According to Police, the suspect walked up to a group of five men and asked them a question. The men told the suspect they were not involved in gangs and the suspect then fired several shots at them.
No one was hit.
The suspect was seen running to an awaiting white Honda civic. The suspect was last seen wearing an orange and red hat with a grey sweatshirt.
Police believe the shooting is gang related and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
