Update in fatal hit and run on Soquel Ave.

On Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, there was a fatal collision involving a motorist and a bicyclist on Soquel Avenue at Hagemann Avenue, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department. The Santa Cruz Police Department has provided new information pertaining to the incident.

Police said they initially thought the vehicle that hit the cyclist was a white Toyota Tundra, which they guessed might have been a 2007 model.

The Santa Cruz Police said further analysis of the evidence led police to determine that the suspect’s vehicle could instead be a white Ford F150 single cab pick up from between 2006 and 2008.

Police say the suspect’s vehicle should have damage to the front end, as well as to the door and mirror on the passenger side.

The Santa Cruz Police Department asks for help in identifying the truck and the driver. Santa Cruz Police provided photos of both potential vehicles.
