Police: Salinas man is dead after being shot multiple times in the back
A 42-year-old man is dead after he was shot Saturday night in Salinas according to the Salinas Police Department.
At about 10 p.m., officers responded to a call of a gunshot victim in the intersection of North Main and East Lake Streets. Police said when they arrived they found Dexter Barnett Senior with multiple gunshot wounds to the back. Police said Barnett died at the scene.
Salinas Police detectives are looking for any witnesses or anyone who may information regarding this incident.
