Yak butter in coffee at Perfectly Pressed Juice Bar
The Perfectly Pressed Juice Bar in Seaside is now offering what they call “Bulletproof Coffee.”
Get your espresso, and in coconut oil and unsalted yak butter, then blend and serve.
Juice bar employee David Marquez said, “It’s got yak butter and coconut oil; makes a frothy, healthy drink. It’s healthier butter than your store butter.”
Apparently, it is pretty popular, too. The Bulletproof Coffee business is brewing, getting up to ten orders per day.
As for health benefits, the man behind the caffeinated concoction says it can boost brain power and overall energy — all with a little help from a yak.
Currently, the yak butter laced coffee is available only at the Seaside juice bar. They hope to bring it to their Salinas location soon.
