Moving truck runs into building in Monterey

An Atlas moving truck ran into a building in Monterey Monday afternoon.

The accident happened at the apartments on McClellan Ave. around 2:30p.m and the accident caused balconies to fall down on the Atlas moving van.

Firefighters say the truck driver was trying to move the truck down a road at the apartment complex and skimmed a tree branch but kept going, eventually taking out three balconies and damaging a fourth.

There were no injuries reported and engineers don’t believe there was any structural damage to the building.
