Man wanted in three counties arrested in Salinas
A man wanted in three counties was arrested after more than a 2 hour search by several law enforcement agencies Sunday.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department said they responded to a report vehicle trespassing in the 800 block of Boronda Road in Salinas at about 8 a.m. Upon arrival deputies arrested 36-year-old John Pena but 37-year-old Charles Noble refused to comply and ran.
After more than two hours deputies say they arrested Noble who was found hiding in thick brush near a structure.
The California Highway Patrol and the Salinas Police Department helped with the search.
Monterey County Sheriff’s Department said Nobel was wanted in three counties on warrants for drug related crimes, property crimes and tampering with a vehicle. Pena was arrested for trespassing and prowling.
They both were booked into the Monterey County Jail, according to deputies.
