Drive-by shooting sends one person to the hospital

One person was taken to the Watsonville Community Hospital after he was shot in Pajaro, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department.

Commander John Thornburg from the Monterey County Sheriff’s office said the Sheriff’s department responded to a call of a shooting at about 5:54 p.m. Sunday. He said it was a drive-by shooting.

The Sheriff’s office said the victim is expected to survie.

The shooting is under investigation.
