Suspicious death in Hollister

According to the Hollister Police Department, the victim has been identified as 28 year old Raul Delarosa.

UPDATE 12-23-2014:

“It’s been a quiet neighborhood and then all of a sudden here we got a suspicious death,” said Nazario Martinez.

Hollister Police say the mystery began at 3:00am with a medical aid call regarding an unresponsive man laying in his driveway on Scenic Circle.?

Chief of Police Dave Westrick said, “Officers on scene noticed that the victim had some head trauma.”?

The questions continue — and while investigators piece together the timeline, Martinez hopes that soon he will see some sign that his neighborhood is back to normal.?

12-23-2014:

Hollister Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred on Tuesday at about 3:00am in the 2000 block of Scenic Circle.

Police say the victim appeared to have head trauma. According to Hollister Police, the incident is being investigated as a homicide pending an autopsy.

The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time. The San Benito County Sherriff’s Office and the San Benito County District Attorney’s Office have been notified and the investigation is continuing.
