Holman building in Pacific Grove closer to new owners
The historic Holman Building in downtown Pacific Grove could be closer to a new owner.
Pacific Grove’s economic development director Mark Brodeur confirmed Monday that after a recent auction, a potential buyer has stepped up with an offer to buy the landmark building.
Brodeur says he’s not at liberty to reveal the prospective buyer.
The 90 year old structure was home to the former Holman’s Department Store back in the day. Brodeur says the building is on a list of historic buildings in Pacific Grove and that historic status would affect how the building can be re-purposed in the future.
Any potential buyer would have to present their plans for the building to the city’s economic development department for approval.
