CHP: Driver flees on foot after running stop sign, hitting other car in Aptos
A car ran a stop sign on San Andreas Road near Seascape around 3:15 p.m. Friday then struck another driver, California Highway Patrol officers said.
The driver of the first car got out and took off on foot and California Highway Patrol officers say they don’t know who he is.
The driver of the second car, described as elderly, was taken to Dominican Hospital though the extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
CHP is responding to a number of accidents throughout the Central Coast Friday afternoon as heavy rains began hitting the area.
At least one vehicle rollover was reported on Highway 17, and another vehicle has reportedly flipped over on Lakeview Road and Route 129, among several others.
