CHP chasing possibly stolen big-rig on southbound Highway 101
California Highway Patrol officers are on the look out for five big-rigs reported stolen out of Washington state, some of which are purportedly in the Monterey County area.
Jaime Rios, spokesman for CHP, said one of the big-rigs was believed to have been spotted on Highway 101 Tuesday morning, heading southbound.
Officers tailed the truck, eventually pulling it over just south of Crazy Horse Canyon Road. Traffic was temporarily halted while officers contacted the driver.
Rios said officers have not yet determined whether the vehicle is, in fact, connected with the reportedly stolen vehicles.
