Parolee arrested after traffic stop in Moss Landing

Two people were arrested in Moss Landing Sunday, including a parolee at large, after a traffic stop on Highway 1.

Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a stop on a car driven by Angelina Segundo, 23, in the area of Molera Road and Highway 1 for numerous vehicle code violations.

The passenger, Carlos Alan Ramirez, 23, gave deputies a fake name, but he was later determined to be a parolee at large out of Solano County.

A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded firearm, marijuana and a methamphetamine smoking pipe.

Deputies say Ramirez is a known Norteno gang member and that Segundo is a known Norteno gang associate.

Both were arrested on multiple charges and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
