John Steinbeck Library in Salinas to be closed for maintenance Sept. 2-3

The John Steinbeck Library in Salinas will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 2 and Wednesday, Sept. 3 for maintenance, library officials said. Further details weren’t immediately available.

All libraries in Salinas will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1 for Labor Day. The El Gabilan and Cesar Chavez branches will be open on Sept. 2 and 3 as regularly scheduled.

The Steinbeck Library was temporarily closed earlier this summer for a flea infestation.
