Salinas police seek man who stole from Walmart, attacked guard

The Salinas Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the male who stole items from a Walmart and assaulted a store security guard.

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, the suspect took items from the store on North Davis Road and left without paying for them.

When confronted outside by a loss prevention officer, the man assault the guard and then fled on foot to a waiting vehicle.

The suspect described as a Hispanic man is his 20s, approximately 5’8″ and 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, red t-shirt and a black ballcap with a “P” on the front. The vehicle was a red Suzuki four door.
