Two people rescued from Arroyo Seco Sunday evening
Two people had to be rescued by helicopter from the Arroyo Seco area Sunday evening, Cal Fire officials said.
Around 5:30 p.m., crews responded to a report of two injured individuals in the gorge area of Arroyo Seco in southern Monterey County.
Two medical helicopters from CalStar were requested and responded. The two individuals were located and hoisted to a landing zone by Cal Fire’s helicopter and crew.
One patient was transported by CalStar to San Jose Regional Medical Center with head injuries and the second patient was transported to a local hospital via private vehicle.
